ATLUG Futures and Upcomming Meetings03/03/2010 07:48 AM The response to the March meeting topic is a testament to how attendance is positively impacted by an interesting, relevant topic. From time to time people have commented on the varying quality of the presentation topics at the ATLUG meetings. I would like to turn the current situation into an opportunity, and challenge every ATLUG member, every IBM/Lotus Business Partner, every IBMer, every Notes/Domino Geek to consider submitting a proposal for a presentation at an up coming meeting. I'm just one guy. We have over 100 members. Everything I read about healthy user groups talks about how the best groups, the best meetings, come from the MEMBERS. If you've ever attended a meeting, you are a MEMBER!
We are very fortunate to have the next two meetings planned, but there isn't anything that says we can't have additional meetings or even special events!
As a sneak preview, right now we're planning on having Bruce Elgort of Elgui Software speak in May, and Bob Balaban speak in August along with a special guest from IBM.
So, who wants to blow our collective socks off in November or in 2011? Do you have an idea for an additional meeting or special event?
Contact me at rdavison@matrixres.com!
A link to the presentation is in the first comment to this post. Over there... -> in the lower right corner. (2)

"Virtualization is a hot topic in today's data center, and while your Domino server can be virtualized as well, careful thought and planning should be given to the process to ensure the project is a success. Darren Duke from STS will present on best practices for Domino on VMware at the next ATLUG."
